SMC: announces the results of a security operation in southern Kirkuk

The Security Media Cell announced today, Friday, the results of the security operation that took place in areas south of Kirkuk.

The cell stated, in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "7 explosive devices, 10 dens, a tunnel and a boat were destroyed, and two launcher and spG9 missiles and an M4 store filled with ammunition, as well as various equipment, were found within the section of the advanced headquarters of the Joint Operations Command in Kirkuk, “indicating that the army, the Federal Police and the Popular Mobilization units continue to carry out their exposure operations within the areas south of Kirkuk for the second day in a row.”

The cell indicated that “in Wadi Al-Shay a search duty was carried out that resulted in the destruction of 4 dens and the finding of 3 stores M4 A filled with a hand grenade and 3 mobile devices without a battery containing a sim card, as well as finding 6 explosive devices in the form of a gel polish and a sleeper mattress and covers.
