Meetings of the Joint Committee for the Comprehensive Action Plan for the 2015 agreement signed between the International Group and Iran in 2015 regarding its nuclear activities will resume in the Austrian capital Vienna today.
Today’s meeting will be attended by a representative of the European Union as the coordinator of the international deal and officials from the remaining countries in the agreement, Russia, China, France, Britain, Germany and Iran.
The participants will complete the work that began weeks ago to seek to ensure the full implementation of the agreement by all parties, as well as to secure the return of the United States of America to it after its unilateral withdrawal in 2018.
The previous round ended last week in an atmosphere of optimism, as the Europeans confirmed "there is some progress".
