CAA: Flights will not stop during the days of the comprehensive ban

    The Civil Aviation Authority confirmed today, Thursday,  that flights will not be stopped during the days of the comprehensive ban from 12-22 May, which coincides with the advent of the blessed Eid al-Fitr, according to the decision of the Council of Ministers, while the news of the absence of aircraft in Turkey carrying those wishing to return to Iraq was denied.

    A spokesman for the Civil Aviation Authority, Jihad Kadhim, said in a special statement to the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "flights between Iraq and other countries will not be stopped during the period of the comprehensive ban," stressing at the same time that "the Civil Aviation Authority has sent a letter to the Baghdad Operations Command." In order to exempt travelers from the ban, and it is awaiting an answer. "

    In response to news that there were no planes carrying Iraqis wishing to return from Turkey, Kadhim affirmed that "what is said about this matter is pure rumors," noting that "the scheduled flights to Turkey are still continuing on a daily basis within the national carrier."
