Minister of Electricity Majed Mahdi Al-Emara confirmed that the reduction of the salaries of the new peace will not be effective for the year 2020, as the differences will be paid this year when the necessary allocations are available.
The ministry stated, in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that “the emirate received in his office at the ministry’s headquarters members of the House of Representatives from the Saeron Alliance, MP Salam Al-Shammari, Representative Sabah Talobi and Representative Sattar Al-Attabi, and discussed with them the reality of the electrical system throughout Iraq, during which it was addressed. The minister's visit to Iran and the issue of importing gas to operate the generating stations was completed.
The statement added that "the work of the electrical system in its three sectors, production, transmission and distribution, and the maintenance mechanism, was explained, and the plan followed by the ministry's staff during the summer season, and the possibility of replacing faulty transformers and maintaining the affected ones in order to break the bottlenecks and stabilize the supply for citizens."
According to the statement, the members of the House of Representatives indicated the need to create a joint cooperation agreement between the ministries of oil and electricity to equip the generating stations with fuel.
