Al-Kadhimi sends a message to Al Asad

Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi sent a letter to Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad regarding bilateral relations and the fight against terrorism.

The Syrian News Agency (SANA) quoted news that the Iraqi News Agency (INA) followed, saying that "the head of the Popular Mobilization Authority, Faleh Al-Fayyad, who is visiting Damascus, conveyed a message from Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi to the Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad regarding bilateral relations, issues of mutual interest, and developments on the political and security levels." And especially the anti-terrorism operation, and the existing cooperation between the two countries to confront it and eliminate the remaining terrorist outposts in the border region. "
According to SANA, during the meeting, an exchange of views took place on the situation in the region and the challenges it faces, and the importance of continuing Syrian-Iraqi coordination and consultation in various fields, which constitutes a strength for the two brotherly countries and peoples in facing these challenges.

The meeting was attended by the Syrian ambassador to Iraq.
