The Secretary-General of the High Governorate of the Amazigh, Hashemi Assad, confirmed today, Thursday, that work is underway with the Ministry of the Interior to codify the Amazigh language in money and official documents in Algeria.
Asad said, during a press conference held at the headquarters of Radio Boumerdes, according to the Algerian website Al-Shorouk, that "last week, the new states were codified in the Amazigh language."
Concerning teaching the Amazigh language, Asad pointed out that "there are some problems," indicating "the need to generalize the teaching of this language in schools in coordination with the Ministry of Education."
