The Cabinet votes on the recommendations of the investigative committee regarding the Ibn Al-Khatib hospital fire

    The media office of Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi announced today, Tuesday, that the Council of Ministers voted on the recommendations of the investigative committee regarding the Ibn Al-Khatib Hospital fire, while indicating that it decided to end the withdrawal of the hand against the Minister of Health and the Governor of Baghdad.

    In a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), the office said, "The Council of Ministers voted on the recommendations of the investigative committee that was established according to the Council of Ministers Resolution (140 of 2021) regarding the fire accident at Ibn Al-Khatib Hospital."

    He added, "The decision includes  : 

    1 - To oblige the Ministry of Health to impose disciplinary sanctions in proportion to the severity of the accident against (Salman Hamid Ali / Director of Ibn Al-Khatib Hospital) and (Naim Kadhim Muzayel / Administrative Associate) and (Ahmad Jassam Ali / Civil Defense Officer) and relieve them from their positions and downgrade their degree Hospital director according to the law .

    2 -  Exemption Director General of Health Baghdad / Rusafa from office, and to require the Ministry of Health to take the necessary process of implementing it in accordance with the law .

    3 -  End the case of withdrawal of the hand stipulated in Cabinet Resolution No. (140 of 2021) against the Minister of Health and the Governor of Baghdad .

    4 - To oblige the Ministry of Health and its affiliates, including departments, hospitals and health institutions, to apply the regulations, instructions and uncles in force in a manner that guarantees the safety of patients, companions, auditors and medical staff, including adherence to the number of companions, specifying visiting hours, selecting competent personnel, and assigning them to the tasks of inquiries and ensuring the availability of safety requirements and safety conditions from early warning and systems Extinguishing fires, and dealing firmly with the violators and negligent in violating the Ministry's law and instructions .
