The Civil Defense teams put out a fire that broke out in an oil and plastic store on Palestine Street.
The correspondent of the Iraqi News Agency (INA) said that "the civil defense teams put out the fire that broke out in a store of vehicle oils and plastic plastics in the area between Palestine Street and Bab Al-Moazam," pointing out that "preliminary investigations indicate that the cause of the fire was an electrical short." "The Civil Defense confirmed that the storage process was irregular and that the fire caused material losses."
For its part, the Civil Defense Directorate confirmed that "20 firefighting teams participated in extinguishing the fire that broke out inside the oil and tire store, which was constructed from flammable sandwich panels and under the direct supervision of the Director General of Civil Defense, Major General Kadhim Salman ."
The directorate indicated that "the Civil Defense requested the opening of an investigation at the police station responsible for the geographical area, based on the report of the forensic expert to determine the causes of the fire."
