Al-Araji and Bonio discussed scheduling the withdrawal of foreign forces

    The National Security Adviser, Qassem Al-Araji, discussed today, Thursday, with the French Chargé d'Affairs in Baghdad, Jean-Noel Bonio, the scheduling of the withdrawal of foreign forces from Iraq.

    The media office of the National Security Adviser said, in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "Al-Araji received in his office today the French Chargé d'Affairs in Baghdad, Jean Noel Bonio," noting that "the meeting dealt with the issue of the strategic dialogue between Baghdad and Washington and the scheduling of the withdrawal of forces." The two sides also discussed the work of the NATO advisory mission in Iraq. "
    The French Chargé d'Affairs pointed out that "his country stands with Iraq in its sovereign decisions," stressing "France's respect for Iraqi sovereignty and always standing with the aspirations of the Iraqis."

    The statement added, "The projects that France is undertaking in the city of Sinjar were discussed, within the framework of the reconstruction of the liberated cities, as the construction of a hospital will begin after the rehabilitation of the health center in the district."
    The meeting concluded, by stressing the two sides on "the importance of strengthening the growing relations between Baghdad and Paris, at all levels."
