A grant allocated to a specific category of IDPs

Ministry of Migration and Displaced – MMD announced, on Wednesday, the allocation of a grant to a specific category of IDPs, while noting that the aid of the displaced is contingent on their return.

"A proposal has been submitted to help some displaced families, but it depends on their return to their areas to include social welfare assistance for those who do not have a salary," said the Undersecretary Karim Al-Nouri to Iraqi News Agency (INA).

He added that "the investigation of the wasted sums under the pretext of the IDPs belongs exclusively to the Integrity Commission," pointing out that "we tried to provide a grant to these families to encourage voluntary return, but not everyone can be met, but whoever deserves this grant will be included,"
