MMD: Efforts to increase the number of emergency grants

INA – BAGHDAD
Ministry of Migration and Displacement – MMD confirmed the increase in the number of those covered by emergency grants for IDPs, after the approval of 2020 budget.
MMD asked for allocating 225 billion dinars for the emergency grant, in order to include the largest number of IDPs within the grant, said MMD spokesman, Ali Jahangir to Iraqi News Agency INA.
He added that the fifth edition which included 2.600 IDPs has been released, noting “We are preparing to spend the sixth edition as well,”
It’s noteworthy that 50 billion dinars were allocated to the emergency grant from 2019 budget and divided into 12 months.
