Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif said that his country had proposed a "logical course" for full compliance with the nuclear agreement, considering that the sanctions imposed by the former US president were arbitrary and should be lifted.
Zarif said in a tweet on his Twitter page today, Friday, that the United States, which caused this crisis, must return to full compliance first, and then Iran will reciprocate after rapid verification.
Zarif added that all sanctions imposed by Donald Trump against the JCPOA are arbitrary and must be lifted.
On Friday, the European Union said that officials from Iran, China, Russia, France, Germany and Britain would continue talks on the United States' return to the 2015 nuclear deal with Iran next week after "constructive discussions" this week.
"The joint committee was briefed on the work of the two groups of experts on lifting sanctions and nuclear compliance measures, and the participants referred to constructive discussions that are looking for solutions," the EU statement noted.
In turn, Russia announced that the Joint Committee on the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action had expressed its satisfaction with the "initial progress" made by experts working in Vienna in an effort to revive the deal.
