Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi congratulated today, Thursday, the Assyrians, Chaldeans and Syriacs on the occasion of the "Akito" holiday.
Al-Kadhimi said in a tweet on Twitter, followed by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), "On the occasion of the Babylonian-Chaldean and Assyrian New Year (Akito), I extend my sincere congratulations and blessings to our Assyrian, Chaldean and Syriac brothers in Iraq."
He added, "Our wishes are that our country will remain strong in its diversity, prosperous with its people of all sects and religions, and that security and peace will prevail in all its quarters."
