International Federation of Football Associations (FIFA) has officially approved the 2011 statutes for the upcoming elections of the Iraqi Football Association.
FIFA sent a letter to the Football Association indicating the adoption of the statute for the year 2011, based on the message of Normalization Committee on 3rd, March 2021 regarding the schedule of works the extraordinary conference that will be held on 4th, April 2021, which was sent to the General Authority with the letter dated 27th, February 2021, specifically the second point which stipulated the declaration that the General Assembly had held a meeting based on the statute.
This came according to a statement by the Secretary-General of the Normalization Committee, Muhammad Farhan, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA).
"The extraordinary conference next April will be held under the directives of the International and Asian Federations, and that the Normalization Committee will work to implement the message of the International Federation that has arrived, and the General Committee will be informed of the message’s content so that all matters are clear and transparent," he added.
Farhan explained that the International Federation's message will be “the next roadmap to hold elections, and preparations are underway to hold them in a way that ensures the participation of all without marginalization and exclusion”, according to the content of the International Federation's message, which was based on the statute of 2011.
