Salih stresses the need to close the gaps in front of terrorist cells

 The President of the Republic, Barham Salih, stressed today, Thursday, the need to close gaps in front of terrorist cells, stressing the importance of strengthening the capabilities of the security and intelligence services and developing their capabilities in facing security challenges.

 The office of the President of the Republic said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): “The President of the Republic, Barham Salih, received today, Thursday, in the Peace Palace in Baghdad, the Parliamentary Security and Defense Committee headed by Representative Muhammad Ridha Al Haider.”

 He added, "During the meeting, they discussed the security developments in the country, and the recent terrorist incidents in some regions of the country, as it was emphasized that measures should be taken to protect the security and stability of citizens."
