Border Crossings Authority and International Organization for Migration - IOM signed a memorandum of cooperation.
"The memorandum of cooperation between the two sides is concerned with strengthening capacities for migration and borders management and enhancing the services provided in this area to make the process more effective, as well as working to establish training courses for human resources, developing infrastructure at border outlets, providing advice and technical cooperation on migration issues and the international law, in addition to combating human trafficking," according to a statement by the media office of the Border Crossing Authority received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA).
The memorandum also included coordinating and contributing effectively to the development of a comprehensive national strategy for border-crossing management.
