The head of the Border Ports Authority, Omar Adnan Al-Waeli, confirmed today, Tuesday, the support of the Prime Minister, Mustafa Al-Kadhimi, for the file of the border ports.
Al-Hayat stated in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that “Al-Waeli chaired a meeting at the headquarters of the Commission with a number of officers and employees of the Research and Investigation Department in order to discuss ways to enhance work in the outlets, ensure good performance, and prepare for the application of electronic systems and automation programs for the provisions of controlling the work of departments operating at border crossings.
Al-Waeli indicated, during the meeting, that "the successes achieved in the file of the border outlets were due to the prime minister's support for the life of the ports, and the efforts made by the staff of the commission to implement their duties in supervision, control, and auditing and security investigation."
