The Parliamentary Integrity Commission confirmed today, Friday that there is a default in the Iraqi real estate file abroad, while indicating that Iraq pays taxes on some of its properties abroad.
A member of the committee, Deputy Taha Al-Dafa'i, told the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "There are hundreds of real estate for Iraq abroad and in most countries of the world and in distinct locations," pointing out that "the Integrity Committee formed a committee in the last session and its duty was to verify the numbers of real estate and their property and how they dealt Ministries with their properties abroad. "
He pointed out that "the Ministry of Foreign Affairs provided the committee with an inventory of the number and types of real estate, which are hundreds of real estate in various countries of the world," stressing that "there is a clear failure of government institutions, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Iraqi embassies abroad to properly deal with these properties and benefit from them, either by investing them or sell it and make use of its money. "
