Baghdad - INA - Karar Khalil
The Ministry of Health and Environment promised to increase its capacity for Corona sufferers in the coming weeks, indicating that it is awaiting the World Health Organization and FDA's recognition of the Pfizer vaccine in order to import it.
The Director General of Public Health at the Ministry, Riyad Abdul-Amir, told the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "The capacity of the beds is good, as there are nearly more than 10 thousand beds that have been added in recent months, and the laboratories have expanded significantly.”
He added, "The news about the Pfizer vaccine so far is good, because in the third trial it achieved a good efficacy that reached 90 percent, so we hope that after the trials are completed, it will obtain international approvals, especially the FDA and the World Health Organization, so that we can import it."
