The Parliamentary Services Committee revealed today, Wednesday, a plan to launch 30 investment projects in the field of roads to link the governorates together.

Committee member Jassem Al-Bakhati said to the Iraqi News Agency (INA), "After the completion of the first batch and the conversion of 7 streets to investment, including (Basmaya - Baghdad), then the second batch of 30 investment projects will be launched to link the governorates with each other, including the Arar-Karbala Road."

He added, "These projects will contribute greatly to employing the labor force and moving the investment wheel."

Regarding the train project, he explained that "the project is ready to refer it to an investment company after all obstacles have been overcome," noting that "the reason for the delay in referring the project is the conditions of the company and the safe environment."

And Undersecretary of the Ministry of Construction and Housing Jaber Al-Hassani confirmed in a statement to the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "the issue of investing in roads needs to provide the appropriate investment environment in terms of legislation, security stability and imposing state prestige," noting that this is achieved in cooperation between the government, parliament and other sectors.
