Today, Thursday, the Ministry of Health confirmed its readiness of its hospitals to receive cases infected with the Coronavirus, while calling on citizens not to follow intruders ’advice to the profession.
"The Minister of Health held a meeting in which he focused on several axes, including the supply of oxygen to hospitals and health institutions, as well as discussing the therapeutic protocol and how to prepare it based on Iraqi and international experiences," Undersecretary Hani Al-Aqabi said to the Iraqi News Agency (INA).
He added, "The recent period there has been a great shortage of medicines, and the Ministry has worked to provide them through holding meetings and contacting many countries, in addition to obtaining promises to receive medicines covering a proportion of those in hospital."
He explained that "the cure rate reached 50% and the number of those present did not exceed four thousand cases," noting that "last week witnessed an increase in the rates of critical and severe cases, which caused momentum on health institutions and consequently the reluctance of some people to review hospitals."
