The Border Ports Authority announced today, Friday, that the revenues achieved in the ports of Umm Qasr marine port amounted to more than (65) billion Iraqi dinars.
The Commission confirmed in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "the total revenues accrued for the period from May 1 last to June 11 amounted to (65,840,172,000) only sixty five billion and eight hundred and forty million and one hundred and seventy two thousand Iraqi dinars," noting that " These sums have been collected for the value of customs and tax revenues and commercial traffic in the ports of Umm Qasr marine ports. "
The statement added, "This achievement is the outcome of the cooperation of the operating departments despite the decision to zero the customs duties for food, health and agricultural materials," praising the role of tightening the measures taken by the Border Ports Authority in supervising, monitoring, auditing and security investigation, in tightening the screws on the corrupt and smugglers and preventing them from overtaking On public money. "
