MOF is studying proposals to change the salary system

 The Ministry of Finance is studying proposals to change the salary system according to recent changes in the economy, the fall in oil prices, and the crises the country is going through.

 The spokesman for the government information and communication office in the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers Alaa Al-Fahd said in a statement to Al-Sabah: “I have seen it (INA),” The Finance Committee is studying with several experts in the Ministry of Finance several proposals and solutions to change the salary system, and among the options presented  Unofficially, represented by changing salaries by 25% for all employees, resorting to compulsory savings or reducing unstable allocations within salaries; these are all considered options that the government will choose the best. "

 He added, "This matter is left to the new government, as it will present a draft budget law that contains proposals and solutions to change the reality of the state of the budget which suffers from a large deficit - before the Corona crisis and the drop in oil prices - and the estimated deficit of 40 billion dollars, and there are external obligations to pay the debt installments granted to Iraq."
