Najaf Criminal Court: Death penalty for drug dealers

The Najaf Criminal Court issued a death sentence on Monday against two drug dealers for the crime of drug trafficking.
A judicial statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) stated that "the Najaf Criminal Court seized 4.245 kilograms of hashish from the convicts, with the intent to trade and sell it among users
The court added that "the ruling was issued against them in accordance with the provisions of Article 27/First of the Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances Law No. 50 of 2017."
