The security expert, Saeed Al-Jayashi, revealed the details of the specific operation carried out by the forces of the Anti-Terrorism Service in the Khanukah Mountains in Salah al-Din Governorate.
Al-Jayashi said in a statement to the Iraqi News Agency (INA): The specific operation carried out by the anti-terrorist forces in the Al-Khanukh Mountains area in Salah Al-Din Governorate was carried out through accurate intelligence. He added that after the completion of the intelligence information, careful planning was made by the anti-terrorist agency, indicating that multiple airdrops had been carried out in the target area and the surrounding areas.
He explained that the anti-terrorist operations advanced from several axes on the targets and clashes took place, as the terrorists had effective weapons, but the counter-terrorism forces settled the situation. He continued that at the dawn of Tuesday, about 39 bodies of Daesh terrorists were found, and two large tunnels were found, one of them was a weapons depot and another called " Exchequer " used by Daesh terrorist gangs.
It is noteworthy that the anti-terrorist agency pledged to continue tracking the remains of Daesh terrorist gangs, confirming the killing of the legal mufti of terrorist gangs in Salah al-Din Governorate.
A statement issued by the agency, which was received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), said that the second Special Operations Forces, one of the formations of the forces of the Anti-Terrorism Organization, carried out a qualitative operation by airdroping terrorists' dens, and engaged them in a battle that lasted for several hours.
