Today, Wednesday, the Joint Operations Command confirmed that the international coalition did not participate in the Iraq Heroes operations.
The spokesman for the Joint Operations Command, Major General Tahsin al-Khafaji, told the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "These operations are 100% pure Iraqi and involve all sectors of the Iraqi army." Air Force planes of all types (Sazn Karvan), F16 and Sikhoi 25.
He added that "the sorties were distinguished by their work with the sectors and at low altitudes and even on the cities," noting that "the purpose of this is to deliver a message to the people that the armed forces with all their types are the only protector of Iraq."
Al-Khafaji added that "the operations of the Iraqi heroes are the first stage and differ from the previous operations because they were launched only in Anbar province, which means that there is a new strategy and vision in action.
This was launched to purge the Anbar province and the surrounding areas on the Iraqi-Syrian-Jordanian borders from the remnants of the Daesh terrorist gangs.
