Federal Supreme Court confirmed that it had not issued any decision regarding the foreign forces in Iraq, stated the spokesman of the Supreme Federal Court, Iyas al-Samuk, in a statement to Iraqi News Agency INA.
Earlier, on January 5, 2020, the Parliament voted on a resolution obliging the government to end the foreign troops in Iraq.
A member of the Foreign Relations Committee, Muhammad al-Ghabban, told INA that the parliament’s decision to remove foreign forces keeps Iraq away from conflicts.
"Iraq is looking forward to good relations with everyone based on mutual respect and non-interference in the internal affairs in a way that achieves common interests," added al-Ghabban.
