Rusafa Criminal Court issued, on Sunday, a 15-year prison sentence against a convict caught in possession of forged seals attributed to the Supreme Judicial Council and other state departments.
The supreme judicial council-SJC stated in a statement, received by The Iraqi News Agency (INA) , that " Rusafa Criminal Court issued a 15-year prison sentence against a convict who was seized in possession of forged seals attributed to the Supreme Judicial Council and other state departments".
The statement added "the convict indicated the security forces to his house located in Baghdad and 150 forged seals were seized in his possession attributed to the Supreme Judicial Council and a number of Ministries, including: Interior, Justice, Finance, Trade, Martyrs Foundation, Foreign Affairs, Education, Health, Baghdad secretariat, in addition to other departments”.
The statement pointed out that "the sentence was issued based on the provisions of Article 275 of the Penal Code".
