PM: Government is committed to building balanced relations and safeguarding the interests of the country

    Prime Minister Adel Abdul-Mahdi confirmed today Thursday, that the government is committed to its position and its consistent policy of establishing balanced relations and preserving the country's interests.

    The media office of the Prime Minister stated in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency that Abdul-Mahdi while receiving the Turkish Foreign Minister Mawlud Tshawash Oglu expressed his pride in the cooperation relations existing between the two countries, noting that the security of the region and preserving its interests is the responsibility of all its countries.

    Abdul-Mahdi added that the Iraqi government is committed to its position and its steadfast policy to establish balanced relations in a manner that preserves the country's interests and national sovereignty, and with neighboring countries and its regional and international surroundings and not to enter into the policy of axes, stressing that achieving peace and calm is in the interest of all.

     In turn, Mawlud Oglu conveyed the greetings of the Turkish leadership to the Prime Minister and its support for Iraq’s security, stability and national sovereignty, noting that the Turkish President directed him to visit Baghdad in order to emphasize Turkey's support for Iraq and to stand with him the government and people.
