The First Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives Hassan Karim al-Kaabi on Thursday condemned the use of force and the firing of live ammunition against peaceful protesters who went out to expose the corrupt and claim rights in all governorates, especially Najaf.

In a statement issued by his office, al-Kaabi called on Prime Minister Adel Abdul-Mahdi to take immediate measures against those firing bullets against the defenseless people, calling him as head of the Supreme Anti-Corruption Council to issue responsible and urgent decisions against all corrupt people.
