Arab Parliament Speaker Mohammed bin Ahmed Al-Yamahi praised the Arab League's efforts to promote solidarity on Saturday, while highlighting the sincere efforts of the General Secretariat to advance joint Arab action.

The correspondent of the Iraqi News Agency (INA) reported that "the Speaker of the Arab Parliament, Mohammed bin Ahmed Al-Yamahi, congratulated the Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, Ahmed Aboul Gheit, on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the founding of the League, which falls on March 22nd," praising in this context "the tireless efforts made by the League of Arab States to strengthen Arab solidarity at all levels, and defend Arab issues, foremost among which is the Palestinian issue, the first and central issue for all Arabs, especially in light of the serious challenges it has been witnessing recently due to the war of genocide and massacres committed by the brutal occupation entity against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip and the occupied West Bank."

Al Yamahi emphasized that "the League of Arab States, over the course of eighty years, has been and will remain the home of the Arab nation and a symbol of its unity," appreciating its efforts "to strengthen the mechanisms of joint Arab action and address the challenges facing the process of Arab integration in all fields."

The Speaker of the Arab Parliament praised "the sincere efforts of the General Secretariat of the League of Arab States, led by Ahmed Aboul Gheit, Secretary-General of the League, in promoting joint Arab action," particularly thanking "the facilities provided by the General Secretariat to facilitate the work of the Arab Parliament and host its plenary sessions."

On this occasion, Al Yamahi stated, "The Arab Parliament is keen to strengthen mechanisms for consultation, coordination, and cooperation with the League of Arab States at all levels, in light of its commitment to achieving the desired integration between official and parliamentary diplomacy in serving the interests of the Arab people and defending their causes."
