Japan's national team defeated Bahrain 2-0 on Thursday in the Asian qualifiers for the World Cup.
Japan secured its qualification with a 2-0 victory over Bahrain on Thursday in the seventh round of Group C matches in the Asian qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup.
Japan secured its place in the World Cup, to be held in the United States, Canada, and Mexico, thanks to goals scored by Kamada and Kubo (66 and 87) after the first half ended in a goalless draw.
With this victory, Japan became the first Asian team to qualify for the World Cup.
