President Rashid congratulates Iraqi people on Nowruz

President Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid congratulated all Iraqis, especially the Kurdish people, on Thursday, on the occasion of Nowruz, calling on political forces to strengthen national unity.
 
In a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), the President said, "On the occasion of Nowruz, we extend our warmest congratulations and blessings to our Kurdish people and all components of the Iraqi people, hoping that this heartful occasion will bring goodness, blessings, and prosperity to our people, and that joy and happiness will prevail throughout the nation."
 
It added, "Celebrating this occasion is a symbol of heroism, sacrifice, and struggle, and it is also the beginning of the Kurdish New Year."
 
It continued, "As we celebrate Nowruz, we affirm our national message by calling on all political forces to strengthen national unity and move forward to consolidate and strengthen the pillars of our democratic system, spread freedoms, protect human rights, preserve our achievements, and support constitutional institutions and legislative, judicial, and executive authorities, thus contributing to the country's development and progress."

The statement concluded, "Congratulations to you and to all the peoples of the world on the occasion of Nowruz. May everyone have a happy New Year."
