The Parliamentary Security and Defense Committee hosted, on Monday, senior security officials to discuss the repercussions of the events in Syria.
“The Parliamentary Security and Defense Committee hosted the head of the Intelligence Service, the head of the National Security Agency, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior for Intelligence Affairs, and the Director of Intelligence in the Popular Mobilization to discuss the repercussions of recent developments in Syria and their implications for national security,” a statement by the committee obtained by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) said.
The statement added that “the hosting comes within the framework of following up on security developments and taking the necessary measures to protect the country.”
