The Border Ports Commission announced, on Monday, the seizure of motorcycles prepared for smuggling at the northern Umm Qasr port.
The official spokesman for the Commission, Alaa Al-Din Al-Qaisi, told the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "The Directorate of the Northern Umm Qasr Port Outlet was able to seize three containers, size (40) feet 3, outside the customs area at the search and investigation point, containing (new disassembled motorcycles and spare parts for motorcycles) prohibited from import, prepared for smuggling, hidden behind the materials declared in the completed customs transaction."
He added, "The seized materials were referred to the Umm Qasr Northern Customs Police Station for the purpose of presenting it to a judge."
