The head of the National Wisdom Movement, Sayyed Ammar al-Hakim, stressed on Wednesday that Iraq is witnessing a state of recovery and political, social, security and service stability.
“In our visit to the Arab Republic of Egypt, we met this morning with Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdel Ati, where we reaffirmed our categorical rejection of attempts to displace the Palestinian people from their land and infringe on their rights, and renewed our support for the important Egyptian efforts to counter these attempts,” Al-Hakim said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), calling on ”the international community to realize the truth and support the establishment of a Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital.”
He added: “We praised the clear progress in relations between the two brotherly countries, and called for more efforts to consolidate this historic relationship through coordination at various levels, especially in regional and international organizations, which contributes to strengthening the Arab decision and creating opportunities in light of the rapid international changes.”
He continued: “We renewed our concern with the minister for the security and stability of sister Syria and the importance of the Syrian people getting their chance to shape their future to ensure their prosperity, and we affirmed our condemnation of the Zionist attacks on Syria and the need to take firm international positions to preserve Syrian sovereignty.”
“We praised the efforts of Egyptian diplomacy in bridging views between the various regional parties and addressing the issues of the region and seeking to provide solutions based on the principle of preserving the national state and the rights of peoples to a dignified life,” he noted.
On Iraqi affairs, he stressed that “Iraq is witnessing a state of recovery and political, social, security and service stability,” praising “the role of the Iraqi government in providing services and infrastructure.”
