Sayyid Al-Hakim confirms support for Egypt's efforts to prevent the displacement of the Palestinian people

    The head of Hikma National Movement, Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakim, confirmed today, Tuesday, supporting Egypt's efforts to prevent the displacement of the Palestinian people.
     
    Sayyid Al-Hakim said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "At the beginning of our visit to the Arab Republic of Egypt, we met with President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, where we expressed to His Excellency our deep appreciation for Egypt's firm position in supporting the Palestinian cause, and we stressed our support and backing for the efforts of Egypt, its leadership and people, in preventing the displacement of the Palestinian people and preserving the essence of the Palestinian cause by adhering to the Palestinian national soil."

    The statement added: "We reviewed with the Egyptian President the development of relations between Iraq and Egypt and ways to enhance and strengthen their ties, and we expressed our satisfaction with the continuous development in relations between the two brotherly countries, especially in the field of cooperation in reconstruction projects, while we praised the efforts of the Iraqi government in overcoming difficulties to facilitate the work of Egyptian companies that have proven their worth in the projects assigned to them related to developing infrastructure in Iraq."
     
     It continued: "Regionally, we expressed Iraq's keenness on the stability of the region and pushing towards resolving differences and bringing the viewpoints of the parties closer together in a way that reflects positively on security and prosperity and contributes to advancing the wheel of development and progress, and we stressed our keenness on the unity and integrity of Syrian lands and that the brotherly Syrian people be given the opportunity to freely determine their future, and we also stressed the importance of supporting Lebanese state institutions and keeping Lebanon away from conflicts.”
     
    Sayyid Al-Hakim said: “We expressed our interest and keenness on the success of the regular Arab summit that Baghdad will host in the coming months and the necessity of strengthening the foundations of joint Arab cooperation and finding a formula for Arab economic and political integration that guarantees our Arab countries their position amidst the rapid international changes, especially since our Arab region is rich in human and natural resources and a distinguished strategic location, which makes it capable of managing challenges, finding opportunities and ensuring the future of our honorable Arab peoples.”
