The Ministry of Transport announced on Monday that an earthquake magnitude 2.9 was recorded near Diyala Governorate, Iraq.
"Seismic observatories recorded an earthquake about 45 km from Kifri district in Diyala Governorate," said the ministry in a statement - received by the Iraqi News Agency - INA.
It added that "the magnitude of the earthquake was 2.9 and was not felt by citizens."
