The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mahmoud Al-Mashhadani, presented today, Saturday ten proposals to support Palestine and prevent the displacement of the people of Gaza.
The media office of the Speaker of the House of Representatives stated in a statement - received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) - that "the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mahmoud Al-Mashhadani, affirmed the support of Iraq in general and the House of Representatives in particular for the brothers in Palestine and Gaza before and during October 7," noting that "Iraq is still with them and they are in the heart."
The statement added that "Al-Mashhadani proposed during his speech a number of mechanisms to support the Palestinian cause, including the legislation of Arab parliaments for laws that reject the displacement of the people of Gaza, in addition to other laws that provide urgent support to the brothers."
The following are the proposed points:
First - Issuing unified legislative laws that completely reject the transfer of all or part of the people of Gaza from Gaza or from Palestine to Jordan, Egypt or any other country.
Second: Issuing laws that impose legislative and legal criminalization on countries and companies, including technology and artificial intelligence companies, that contribute to targeting the people of Gaza and Palestine, based on what has recently been proven that the Zionist entity has relied on the expertise of countries and the expertise of artificial intelligence companies to provide banks with targets in the war on Gaza.
Third: Enhancing the issuance of legislation by Arab parliaments to facilitate the provision of urgent material and moral aid to Gaza as we are on the verge of Ramadan, and arranging the entry of aid to the Gaza Strip in cooperation with neighboring countries and facilitating the exit of the wounded for treatment with Arab-Islamic cooperation.
Fourth: Establishing an Arab-Islamic investment fund to support the reconstruction of Gaza and the West Bank and investing in them and strengthening sovereignty over the unified Jerusalem, whether anyone likes it or not.
Fifth: Providing urgent and deferred grants to Gaza and the West Bank in general by submitting legislation and laws to their governments obligating them to collect these grants.
Sixth: Parliamentary work to enhance the work of UNRWA and resort to the United Nations to refuse to stop its work as the Zionist entity proposes.
Seventh - Work to strengthen the local economy of Gaza and the West Bank through direct and indirect economic support that eliminates poverty from our people's areas and guarantees them a decent living.
Eighth - Exempting goods manufactured in Palestine and crops from taxes and customs completely in support of their production, agriculture and even their marine fishing.
Ninth - Submitting unified legislation from Arab parliaments to criminalize total or partial normalization diplomatically, socially, politically, security-wise, economically and culturally with the Zionist entity except by establishing a Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital.
Tenth - Urging the parliaments of Islamic countries to do the same to take a unified position to support the Palestinians in their lands.
