Baghdad International Dialogue to convene for two days

    The seventh Baghdad International Dialogue Conference will kick off in Baghdad on Saturday and Sunday, February 22 and 23, 2025, under the slogan “Communication for Development and Regional Stability,” with the participation of a group of decision-makers, academics and international experts.
     
    The conference will discuss in its sessions a set of vital files that reflect developments in the regional and international scene, as the first day's work begins with sessions dedicated to discussing the development road project, its role in enhancing regional security and stability, and the challenges facing this ambitious project. Participants will also address ways to enhance Iraq's role in ensuring regional security after October 7, in addition to a special session on the role of the conscious elite in shaping Iraq's future.
     
    On the second day, the conference will continue with sessions discussing geopolitical shifts and their impact on the region, in addition to topics related to economic cooperation and regional integration, and the future of energy and economic corridors.
     
    The second day will see a pivotal session on the future of Syria from an international perspective, followed by discussions on great power competition and its impact on the stability of the Middle East.
     
    The conference is an important opportunity to exchange visions on regional issues and open new horizons for constructive dialogue, contributing to the consolidation of sustainable development, economic integration and political stability in the region.
