US President Donald Trump criticized Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Wednesday, describing him as a "dictator without elections", noting that he must act quickly or he will "have no country left."
Trump said: "Zelensky convinced Washington to spend $350 billion on an "unwinnable" war, stressing that "the conflict was not necessary from the beginning, and that the Ukrainian president cannot settle it without Washington's support."
Trump added that "Zelensky admitted to losing half of the money sent by the United States, while refusing to hold elections despite his low popularity."
He continued, "His administration is capable of successfully negotiating with Russia to end the war," considering that "no one can achieve this except him," criticizing the administration of former US President Joe Biden and Europe for their failure to achieve peace, considering that "Zelensky may benefit from the continuation of the war." Trump concluded by saying: “I love Ukraine, but Zelensky has done a terrible job, his country is in ruins, and millions have died needlessly.”
