IMN and Arab States Broadcasting Union discuss Arab Media Conference preparations

The Iraqi Media Network - IMN hosted on Tuesday the preparatory meeting for the Fourth Arab Media Conference, which is scheduled to be held in Baghdad next April.

The Chairman of the Iraqi Media Network, Karim Hammadi, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Thaer Al-Ghanimi, Board Member, Alan Abdullah, and a number of the network's directors received a delegation from the Arab States Broadcasting Union headed by the Director General of the Union, Abdul Rahim Suleiman.

The attendees discussed IMN's preparations for this important event and the paragraphs that the conference will include as well as the invitations directed to the participants.

"The delegation discussed with the IMN the preparations for the Fourth Arab Conference, which is the first time the conference is held outside Tunisia," said the Director General of the Arab States Broadcasting Union, Abdul Rahim Suleiman, to the Iraqi News Agency - INA.

He noted that "the conference will be large and important. All Arab countries, Arab and international organizations from various countries of the world, and the United Nations in all its organizations will participate. It will discuss the issue of climate, which is of great and important importance."

"Baghdad will be promised with many activities, including the Arab Summit that will be held in May of this year, and the media preparations for it were discussed," he added, 

He explained that "the topic of climate change, which will be the title of the fourth media conference, was discussed, as well as the disasters that the world is facing and the role of the media in helping citizens raise awareness of climate issues to reduce the extent of risks."
