The Iraqi National Symphony Orchestra will participate in the opening ceremony for Baghdad's selection as the 2025 tourism capital, which will be widely attended by Arabs, according to artist Muhammad Amin Ezzat, the head of the Iraqi Symphony Orchestra.
"The Iraqi Symphony Orchestra will have an important participation during the opening ceremony of choosing Baghdad as the capital of Arab tourism, with the participation of Arab musical ensembles that will present the heritage orchestra in an amazing way that amazes the attendees," Mohammed Amin Ezzat, the symphony orchestra's head, told the Iraqi News Agency (INA).
He added: "The concert will be attended by a number of Arab composers from Qatar, Oman, Saudi Arabia and the UAE, as well as some prominent Arab musical figures who have a long history of orchestral music."
He pointed out that "the concert will witness an unprecedented wonderful musical performance, which will present the heritage of the participating Arab countries through their music in a symphonic style, as well as the participation of playing rhythmic and traditional musical instruments, as well as Iraqi music with its national identity to highlight the civilized and cultural face of Baghdad with the participation of Iraqi musician, Qutayba Al-Nuaimi and musician Alan Aref, who will present Kurdish music, as well as the participation of the artist Nova daughter the pioneering artist Sita Hakobyan."
