The French newspaper L'Equipe revealed the reasons behind the failure of Paris Saint-Germain's efforts to sign Egyptian star Mohamed Salah, a player for the English Liverpool team.
The newspaper indicated that "the Parisian club is determined to sign Salah, despite the fierce competition from Al-Hilal of Saudi Arabia, in addition to Liverpool's desire to extend its player's contract."
The report confirmed that "Paris Saint-Germain will not move to sign Salah during the current winter transfer period for two main reasons: the team's recent strengthening of its attacking line by signing Georgian winger Khvicha Kvaratskhelia from Napoli of Italy and planning to sign Salah in a free transfer deal after his contract with Liverpool expires on June 30."
It is worth noting that Mohamed Salah is playing his eighth season with Liverpool after joining the team in the summer of 2017 from Roma of Italy. The Egyptian player has repeatedly announced recently that negotiations to renew his contract with Liverpool are facing difficulties.
