Prime Minister Mohammed S. Al-Sudani met today, Tuesday, with King Charles III at Buckingham Palace in London.
The media office of the Prime Minister said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA),"The meeting reviewed bilateral cooperation between Iraq and the United Kingdom and explored opportunities for establishing productive partnerships in various economic and developmental fields, Discussions also touched on collaboration in addressing climate change challenges and opportunities for enhancing cultural cooperation."
Prime Minister Al-Sudani expressed ,"his appreciation for the official invitation to visit the United Kingdom, reaffirming Iraq’s commitment to strengthening constructive bilateral relations in various sectors to promote mutual and sustainable interests for both the Iraqi and British peoples."
King Charles III welcomed Prime Minister Al-Sudani, highlighting the historical ties between Iraq and the United Kingdom and underscoring the significant importance both governments place on advancing common interests and enhancing mutual understanding across multiple areas.
