The Ministry of Transport announced, today, Friday, that an earthquake was recorded in Sulaymaniyah Governorate.
A statement by the ministry received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) stated that "a report by the General Authority for Meteorology stated that the earthquake occurred at dawn today, Friday, and its magnitude reached 3.2 degrees on the Richter scale."
The statement indicated that "citizens felt the effects of the earthquake in the areas within its geographical scope."
