As the price of oil rises, it is nearing $77 a barrel

    Oil prices continued their gains on Tuesday, approaching $77 a barrel.

    Brent crude futures rose to $76.91 a barrel after closing Monday at $76.30 a barrel.

    US West Texas Intermediate crude reached $73.95 per barrel, after closing yesterday at $73.56 per barrel.
