The General Directorate of Narcotics Affairs of the Ministry of Interior announced today, Wednesday, the arrest of a drug dealer and the seizure of 100,000 Captagon pills in Najaf.
“The Special Investigations Department at the headquarters of the General Directorate of Narcotics Affairs continues to inflict new heavy losses on drug dealers,” A statement by the Directorate received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) stated.
"According to judicial decisions issued by the Central Investigation Court in Rusafa and based on the directives of the Minister of Interior, Abdul Amir Al-Shammari, a working team was formed under the supervision of the Director General of Narcotics Affairs, Major General Ahmed Al-Zarkani, and through a precise qualitative intelligence operation and a tight ambush and monitoring that lasted for (30) days, drug dealer was arrested and (100,000) one hundred thousand Captagon pills were seized in Najaf Al-Ashraf, which he intended to trade,” the statement added.
