The Communications and Media Commission (CMC) confirmed on Thursday that it is following up on all media content in institutions and communication platforms around the clock, setting content standards on security tensions in the region.
The spokesman for CMC, Haider Najm, told the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "The Communications and Media Commission follows up all media content in media institutions, whether in radios, television, websites and social media platforms, and monitors it around the clock," noting that "this monitoring is based on the regulations of the Commission regulating the media sector in the country, and violations are recorded in this direction."
Regarding the recent events in the Arab world, the spokesman explained that "the Commission monitored several contents that question the capabilities of the security forces and spread despair among citizens, as they were registered with the commission."
