Wasit Criminal Court sentences two drug traffickers to death

Wasit Criminal Court issued a death sentence on Wednesday, against a drug dealer.
"The convict was found in possession of 2 kilograms and 24 grams of opium narcotic substance with the intention of trading and selling it among users,” The media center of the Judicial Council stated, in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), .
"The ruling was issued based on the provisions of Article 27/First of the Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances Law No. 50 of 2017 and in light of the participation articles 47/48/49 of the Penal Code,” It added .
